2 years agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Monday that quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) "worked hard on the treatment and is doing OK" after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Divisional Round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. When asked about Mahomes' status for the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals, Reid said he's "gonna play" and that this isn't as serious as the ankle injury Mahomes suffered in 2019. It's unknown if the 27-year-old will practice on Wednesday, but we wouldn't be surprised if he does very little in the leadup to Sunday's big game. Mahomes is one of the best QBs in the game when fully healthy, but his mobility will absolutely be compromised against Cincinnati if he actually ends up suiting up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
