Andrew Heaney Hopes To Hold Down Astros Again
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney will face the Astros for the second time this month Tuesday night in Anaheim. Heaney pitched an emotional five innings on July 6, allowing two runs as he dedicated his start to his close friend and teammate Tyler Skaggs. The start was a step in the right direction after a disappointing month of June where he went 1-2 with a 5.68 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP. Heaney is striking out 10.58 batters per nine innings but bigger issues have been holding back the 28-year-old from success. The left-handed pitcher is allowing left-handed hitters to hit .279 against him and is posting 6.92 ERA when there are two outs in an inning. Heaney will be shaky play the second time around against the Astros for Tuesday.
