4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney will start on Opening Day against the A's on Friday, followed by Dylan Bundy on Saturday, Shohei Ohtani on Sunday and Griffin Canning on Monday. The Angels will go with a six-man rotation this year, but the team's fifth and sixth starters remain to be determined. Ohtani, coming off Tommy John surgery, will likely pitch once a week every Sunday, which means he won't be in the lineup as a hitter on Saturdays or Mondays. The 29-year-old Heaney had some back stiffness last weekend but is fine and will be on the bump Friday. He'll be facing a very tough Oakland lineup, but the game will be in a pitcher-friendly park.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
