Andrew Cashner Scuffles Late But Gets Win Over White Sox
7 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner was cruising for much of the early to middle parts of Monday night's game against Chicago, thanks to solo homers from Manny Machado, Adam Jones and Mark Trumbo. Then he began faltering, giving up a run in the fifth and sixth innings. Fortunately, manager Buck Showalter got him out in time and the bullpen sealed the deal. Cashner went five-plus innings and gave up two runs, both earned. He did walk three and struck out four. His next start will likely be against the Rays, so he should be a safe pick for your lineups.
