6 months agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons went 2-for-5 with two runs batted in as the Angels took down the Tiger 5-2 on Tuesday. Simmons has emerged as the most consistent offensive force in the Angels lineup as superstar Mike Trout is still finding his stride after suffering an April groin injury. Since April 15, Simmons has hits in 18 of his last 20 games, going 30-for-86 (.348) with nine doubles and 13 runs batted in during that span. Simmons is back in the lineup on Wednesday and hitting cleanup against Tigers left-handed starter Matthew Boyd. Simmons this season is slashing .317/.317/.561 through 41 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
