All Options Open For Vikings And Kirk Cousins
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is entering his sixth year with the team as the starting QB, but he doesn't have a deal in place beyond 2023, which makes him vulnerable to a succession plan before next season, which will be his age-36 campaign. General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said Cousins doesn't need to prove anything to him, but he was also unwilling to provide concrete answers on Cousins' future with the team. Cousins has 37,140 passing yards, 252 touchdowns and 105 interceptions as a four-time Pro Bowler in the NFL, but he also has two playoff wins for Minnesota in five years. He's still attractive as a midrange QB1 in fantasy, mainly because he has one of the best receivers in the game in Justin Jefferson, but Cousins has proven he doesn't have elite upside.
