New York Rangers winger Alexis Lafreniere collected a trio of points on Thursday as the Rangers knocked off the visiting Minnesota Wild by a 4-1 score. The former No. 1 overall pick notched an assist on Vincent Trocheck's early first-period goal before adding a tally of his own just 1:41 into the third period which stood as the eventual game-winner. He would assist on a late Blake Wheeler insurance marker for his third point on the evening. After disappointing through his first three NHL seasons under massive expectations, the 22-year-old has shown encouraging signs of breaking out this season. He has notched five goals and nine points in 13 games, including a goal and five points over his last three. With just 22 shots and five hits on the season, he remains a bubble fantasy asset at best but is in a nice spot on the right wing of Vincent Trocheck and superstar Artemi Panarin.--Brenton Kemp
