Alexander Romanov Could Miss Start Of Training Camp
1 year agoNew York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov (shoulder) might not be ready for the start of training camp. The Russian blue-liner had shoulder surgery at the end of last season, and the team wants to be cautious in bringing him back. Romanov had a very solid debut campaign with the Islanders, notching 22 points (two goals, 20 assists) in 76 games with 100 shots on goal, 129 blocks, 198 hits, and a plus-13 rating. Samuel Bolduc is expected to fill in for Romanov if he isn't ready for the start of the camp.
