Alex Smith Doesn't Practice Wednesday
4 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. Smith suffered a minor calf strain in the Week 14 win over the 49ers, but he still has a chance to play in Week 15 against the Seahawks, but he needs rest and not repetitions. Washington remains optimistic that the 36-year-old veteran can play this Sunday as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Smith is 4-1 in his five starts since taking over as the starter and has helped the team become a top-10 offense in that span. However, he's had a limited ceiling from a fantasy perspective and won't be more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues despite the nice matchup with Seattle. If he can't go, Dwayne Haskins should get the start under center.
