Alex Reyes In Contention For Bullpen Role

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Alex Reyes is being considered as either a member of the Opening Day bullpen or as a starter at Triple-A Memphis to begin the season, according to manager Mike Shildt. Reyes didn't appear in a Grapefruit League game until March 5 and has made two one-inning relief outings since. Reyes beginning the year in the bullpen wouldn't preclude him from working his way into the big league rotation by the end of the year. The team's top prospect has been plagued by injuries so far, but he has high-end starting upside if he's healthy over the long haul. Because of the fact that he won't open up as a starter and with the Cardinals likely keeping an eye on his workload, he's still most attractive in keeper leagues.
