Alex Ovechkin Producing Modestly In Stanley Cup Finals
7 years agoWith an assist in Monday’s Game 4 victory, Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin has now recorded a single point in each of the first four games of the Stanley Cup Finals. He is now on a five-game point streak, as he scored the opening goal and game-winner of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but he hasn’t recorded a multi-point contest since Game 2 of the series against Tampa Bay. To this point in the postseason, Ovechkin has had eight multi-point games. You can’t exactly call this a regression for the captain, as he is producing with consistency even if he’s not scoring in bunches. His 14 goals and 12 assists are both career postseason highs in the deepest run of his career. The Caps are one win away from their first Stanley Cup, and Ovechkin should be in your DFS lineup for Game 5.
