Alex Kirilloff Hits Two Homers In Rehab Game
2 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman/outfielder Alex Kirilloff (wrist) went off in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI, two runs scored and a walk. It was believed that the Twins might keep Kirilloff in the minors after his rehab assignment ends, but that may not be the case now that he's swinging the bat so well. The 25-year-old has been rehabbing from surgery on his wrist last year, but he's hitting .360 (9-for-25) with three home runs, 10 RBI and a steal in eight rehab games to this point. Kirilloff has shown flashes of his upside at the major-league level, but injuries have prevented him from putting it all together. He's worth a speculative stash in deeper leagues if you need outfield help.
