Alex Kirilloff Has Less Invasive Procedure Than Expected
Alex Kirilloff received good news when he went under the knife Wednesday. Reports are that Kirilloff had no tear in his labrum. Repairing a tear in the labrum could have kept the 25-year-old out close to a year, but he is now expected to have a typical offseason of strength and conditioning. He had the best season of his young career in 2023 but could not stay healthy — a theme during his brief time in the majors. The lefty appeared in 88 games and produced a .270/.348/.445 slash line, adding 11 home runs and 41 RBI. He's someone to keep an eye on when the 2024 season comes around, as he could be an excellent post-hype sleeper for some managers if healthy.
