On Sunday afternoon, Alex Bowman finished 29th in the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Despite having a poor finish, Sunday was a solid day for the No. 48. Not only did he lead 13 laps, but he spent 66.5% of the race in the top 15, which was the eighth-highest of the day. In fact, with just six laps to go, he was a threat to win the race when he unexplainably started to drop back in the field. Whether it was a mechanical issue, dirty air, or a series of mental mistakes, what could have been a slate-breaking performance on DraftKings ended in yet another dud for the Hendrick Motorsports star at Talladega. With nothing to race for in 2023, Bowman looks like a high-risk, low-reward play for the rest of the season.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
