Alek Manoah Set For Another Sim Game Wednesday
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays right-hander Alek Manoah threw a 75-pitch simulated game last Friday at the Florida Complex League, and he will throw another simulated game of at least 75 pitches on Wednesday as he continues to set the foundation for his comeback. If all goes well, Manoah will progress to a live minor-league game five days later, with Single-A Dunedin being the most likely option. Reports on the 25-year-old have been positive so far as he looks to rebound from a disastrous start in 2023 in the big leagues, as he had gone 1-7 with a 6.36 ERA (6.52 FIP), 1.89 WHIP and a league-leading 42 walks in 58 innings over his 13 starts. Savvy fantasy managers may want to swoop Manoah up in leagues where he was dropped when he gets closer to returning to Toronto's rotation.
