Aledmys Diaz Serving As The DH Against Yankees
2 years agoHouston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz is serving as the designated hitter and is batting seventh in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday against New York Yankees right-hander Jameson Taillon. This will be Diaz's first start so far in this postseason for Houston. In three games played, he's gone 1-for-7 with a double, a strikeout and hit by pitch in eight plate appearances. Over 305 at-bats as a super-utility man for the Astros in the regular season, the 32-year-old Cuban hit .243/.287/.403 with 12 home runs, 38 RBI, 35 runs scored and one stolen base.
