1 year agoVegas Golden Knights defenseman Alec Martinez (upper body) is expected to make his season debut Thursday versus Winnipeg. He suffered an upper-body injury during the final week of preseason and was initially expected to be ready for the first game of the campaign, but the injury robbed Martinez of four games. The defending Stanley Cup champions haven't exactly missed the veteran, going a perfect 4-0-0, but Martinez adds a lot of experience and quality to the lineup. He will aim to bounce back offensively this season after posting only 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 77 regular-season appearances last term.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
