Albert Okwuegbunam Sees Extra Looks In Week 9 Win
3 years agoDenver Broncos tight end Albert Okwuegbunam caught four of five targets for 25 yards receiving in the Week 9 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 30-16. His five targets were a season-high and were tied for second-most on the team on Sunday. Okwuegbunam aggravated his knee injury against Dallas but was able to return to the field and finish the game. With Noah Fant on the COVID-19 list, the 23-year-old served as Denver's top pass-catching tight end while ceding only one target to Eric Saubert. Albert O scored his only touchdown of the season back in Week 1 and will continue to play second fiddle to Fant, who should be able to return in Week 10. Okwuegbunam would become a low-end TE1 if Fant ever missed extended time, but as the backup he should remain on waivers in most leagues.
