Albert Okwuegbunam Leads Broncos In Receiving
3 years agoIt's usually not a good thing when your backup tight end leads the team in receiving, and that was certainly the case for the Denver Broncos in their 30-13 Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Backup tight end Albert Okwuegbunam led the team in receiving with 77 yards by catching all three of his targets. It's not great news for starting tight end Noah Fant, either, although he finished second on the team with 59 yards on six targets. Albert O is an intriguing pass-catching tight end with size and speed, but the problem is the Broncos have too many weapons to go around, and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been spreading the rock around evenly. It's impossible to count on Okwuegbunam with any certainty on a weekly basis, especially if Fant remains healthy.
