1 year agoAilin Perez put on a dominant performance on Saturday, earning 25-30, 25-30 and 25-30 marks from the judges to get the win. Perez utilized the ground game well, landing 10 takedowns. She also landed 60 significant strikes (127 total strikes) while only absorbing 12 significant strikes from Ashlee Evans-Smith. The win gives Perez her first in the UFC as well as her fifth finish in eight victories. Though the level of competition was very low for UFC standards, Perez has shown she can compete in the Octagon and can potential start to string some wins together.--Matt Bricker
