Addison Barger Homers In Fourth Consecutive Game Tuesday
Addison Barger continued his impressive streak in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Phillies. Barger went 2-for-4 with a single, a two-run home run, and a strikeout. He also made a throwing error in right field. The 25-year-old turned on an eighth-inning Max Lazar fastball, launching it over the left-field wall. Barger has now homered in each of his last four games, bringing his season total to six. He has emerged as a source of power and batting average for fantasy managers, slashing .274/.338/.508 with 19 RBI in 136 plate appearances. He hasn't seen much playing time against left-handed pitchers, but he is currently just 26 percent rostered and has hit so well that he could provide a boost to fantasy managers' lineups even if he doesn't always play against lefties.
