St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (elbow) threw a bullpen session on Wednesday and said it went very well. He added that he has not spoken to anyone on the team about what would come next, but the veteran right-hander feels like he's ready to return to the rotation. Rookie Jack Flaherty took one of Wainwright's turns in the rotation but was optioned back to Triple-A because off days allowed the Cardinals to go without a fifth starter for a few turns. It seems like Wainwright should be back on the mound the next time his rotation spot comes up.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
