2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (groin) has played catch up to 120 feet, and the team is still finalizing a plan for when he gets back to full baseball activities. Wainwright suffered a groin strain while pitching for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and will open the 2023 regular season on the injured list. He's expected to miss the first month of the season, so look for the 41-year-old right-hander to make his season debut sometime in May. With declining skills and strikeout rates, Waino is really hard to get excited about in fantasy these days in what is expected to be the final season of his storied career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
