Winnipeg Jets center Adam Lowry has been named the team's new captain. He's the third Jets player to get the "C" on his chest since the team moved from Atlanta, following in the footsteps of Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler. Lowry, who has spent his entire nine-year NHL career in Winnipeg, was an alternate captain for the first time last season, along with Josh Morrissey and Mark Scheifele, who will both continue to wear the "A" in 2023-24. Lowry has been a workhorse for the Jets through the years, but he also took a step up offensively last season and finished with a career-high 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists) in 82 games. He'll be expected to lead by example on and off the ice from here on out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
