Edmonton Oilers forward Adam Erne has been fined $2,018.23, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for an elbow to the head of Seattle Kraken forward Pierre-Edouard Bellamare on Wednesday night. The incident occurred midway through the second period while Erne was assessed a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head. It was Erne's first game since being recalled from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors while he is now pointless across seven games with the Oilers after notching one goal across four contests with Bakersfield. In 362 career NHL games, the big winger has 40 goals and 89 points along with 178 penalty minutes between the Lightning, Red Wings, and Oilers.--Brenton KempRead More News
