Adalberto Mondesi To Visit With Doctor
2 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (knee) will visit with a doctor in Boston to determine the next step in his rehab from a torn ACL. For weeks now, Mondesi has been doing hitting and fielding drills, but he has yet to play in games or begin a minor-league rehab assignment. If doctors like what they see with the 27-year-old speedster, he could be on the verge of starting a rehab assignment in the minors. The switch-hitting middle infielder has yet to play in 2023 and has played in a total of 109 games the last three seasons with the Kansas City Royals due to injuries. Once considered an elite stolen base target in fantasy, Mondesi needs to prove he can stay on the field before fantasy managers will want him on their rosters again. The good news is he should see plenty of playing time at the 6 in Boston once he's ready to make his season debut.
