Abraham Toro Starting At Designated Hitter On Tuesday
4 years agoThe Houston Astros are giving Abraham Toro another start at designated hitter on Tuesday. It's the second time in three games that Toro has drawn the start after serving exclusively as a pinch hitter previously this year. Toro has just two hits, a single and a double, over his 12 at-bats this year. He had a strong season in the minors last year, slashing .324/.411/.527 with 17 home runs and 80 RBI over 114 games at Double-A and Triple-A. He could provide some sneaky value if he were to get regular playing time in the vaunted Houston lineup, but for now, he's essentially just a pinch hitter and spot starter so he can be left on waivers in all leagues.
