Aaron Rodgers Faces Struggling Lions Defense In Week 5
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers squares up against one of the worst defenses in football in Detroit Sunday afternoon. This week, the Lions could be without secondary starters Quandre Diggs (broken hand) and Nevin Lawson (undisclosed--not practicing Thursday), from what is an already leaky group to begin with, allowing almost eight yards per pass attempt. Regardless of his health situation, if Rodgers is able to play from motorized wheelchair, he's all systems go in season-long formats at Ford Field Sunday. With the playing status up in the air for all Green Bay's starting receivers right now, and the Lions poor run defense, it would not be a surprise to see the Packers go to a run heavy game plan, which might make it wiser to look elsewhere in DFS tournaments.
