Aaron Nola Pitches Seven Scoreless Innings In Tuesday's Win
4 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola improved to 12-6 in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Astros. Nola turned in another great start, pitching seven innings with four hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. The 31-year-old has followed his recent strong-season/down-season trend, compiling a 3.30 ERA, an 8.28 K/9 rate, and a 2.27 BB/9 rate in 27 starts (17 quality starts) and 166 1/3 IP this season. He will face a tougher matchup against the division-rival Braves in his next start, but fantasy managers should feel confident in starting him in any matchup down the stretch based on his season performance.
