Per The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is expected to become the New York Jets' next head coach, barring something unforeseen after he had his second visit with the team on Tuesday. A deal is not official yet, but the Jets staff has been operating as if it will get done, according to sources. In addition, the Jets have started informing other head-coaching candidates that they are going in another direction. The Jets' plan all along on Tuesday was to never let Glenn leave the building without finalizing a deal to make him their head coach, and it sounds like that will happen. The 52-year-old was a leading candidate all along and will be returning to the organization that made him a first-round pick back in 1994. In addition to Glenn, signs are pointing to the Jets zeroing in on Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark becoming New York's new GM.--Keith Hernandez
