A.J. Pollock Leading Off In Game 1 Of NLDS
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder A.J. Pollock is starting in left field and is hitting leadoff against Nationals left-hander Patrick Corbin in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Thursday. David Freese is starting at first base and is batting second. It's the first time that Pollock has hit leadoff since early September, but the Dodgers are hoping both he and Freese can set the table against the southpaw. Pollock hit .266 this year with 15 homers, 47 RBI and five steals in 308 at-bats, including hitting .323 (32-for-99) with six homers and 18 RBI against southpaws. Freese is a notorious lefty killer and has extensive postseason experience from his time with St. Louis. Both players have DFS upside at the top of the order, but Corbin isn't your typical southpaw.
