A.J. Green Out Indefinitely After Setback
A.J. Green (ankle) will be out indefinitely after suffering a setback to his ankle this week in practice. He has not played since tearing multiple ligaments in his left ankle during the team's first practice of the preseason. He underwent surgery in late July and has yet to play in 2019. Green ran routes and took part in drills during Monday's practice, but his ankle responded by swelling up. "Right now, my ankle is saying it's too much," Green said. "That's when you gotta back off." He's confident he'll play at some point this year, but it's unknown when that might be. Green is a candidate for season-ending Injured Reserve if he doesn't make progress soon. Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and Alex Erickson will continue to work in three-wide sets, although they're all shaky fantasy options now that rookie Ryan Finley is starting at quarterback.
