San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch received multi-year contract extensions on Friday, the team announced. Shanahan was previously inked through the 2025 season, while Lynch was signed through 2024. Lynch took over as the GM in 2017 and brought Shanahan over from the Atlanta Falcons in February of that same year. Despite a number of changes at quarterback, Lynch and Shanahan have found constant success and led the team to an NFC title in 2019 and an appearance in Super Bowl LIV. The duo has posted a record of 52-46 between 2017 and 2022 and have started the 2023 season with three straight wins. They've reached the conference championship three times in six seasons and posted three seasons of 10-plus wins in that span.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
