49ers Pick Up Kyle Juszczyk's Option
5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers exercised fullback Kyle Juszczyk's option for the 2020 season on Wednesday, according to a source. Juszczyk, who will turn 29 in April, only carried the ball three times and caught the ball 20 times during the regular season, but he's an integral part of the team's ground game as the lead blocker in front of Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida. Juszczyk caught a touchdown in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, but he will almost certainly be used primarily for his blocking moving forward, making him a non-factor in fantasy circles. If there ever was one, he's a player that is way more important in real-life football than fake football.
