5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers are "closing hard on the outside" in the sweepstakes for New England Patriots impending free-agent quarterback Tom Brady, NBC Sports Boston's Tom Curran said during a SiriusXM NFL radio interview on Tuesday. Most people speculate that Brady will leave New England this offseason, with the Titans, Buccaneers and Raiders other potential landing spots. The 49ers could decline to pick up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's option or trade him. San Francisco just made it to the Super Bowl and Brady grew up in the Bay Area, so there are obvious fits for him. The 49ers certainly have some questions at receiver outside of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle, but they would boast better playmakers than Brady had at his disposal last season, which would give him a little more QB1 appeal in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
