MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (8/15/25)

Corbin Carroll - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Jamie's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 8/15/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

TGIF! The weekend is upon us, RotoBallers, and with it comes not only full slates of baseball but also Week 2 of the NFL preseason, which is arguably the most enjoyable. Our staff will be working hard for you in ALL channels of the RotoBaller Discord, as you attempt to pad your bank accounts for the NFL season ahead.

Tonight's baseball slate features a full dance card of 12 games, and the Diamondbacks will be featured plenty throughout the weekend as they get to hit in the friendly confines of Coors Field. There are plenty of other attack points for offense, and the weather stays warm, so let's see what we can come up with.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/15/2025, with the slate starting at 7:07 PM EST. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Framber Valdez, SP - HOU ($10,500 DK/$9,900 FD)

Framber Valdez faces his third straight AL East opponent tonight after getting dusted up by the Yankees and Red Sox in his last two starts. The Orioles should be a get-right spot for him, though, as they're thinner since the trade deadline and have struggled as a team against lefty pitching all season.

The O's have a .231 batting average against LHP, which is the eighth-lowest in the league, and they also have the eighth-highest K rate against them. Valdez has an elite 60.2% GB rate, and his 2.96 FIP indicates that his 2.97 ERA is exactly the kind of pitcher he is. His 24.4% K rate is a bit low for his price tag, but Valdez is one of the premier pitchers you can count on for run prevention. Baltimore has a slate-low IRT of 3.1 runs.

Charlie Morton, SP - DET ($8,200 DK/$8,400 FD)

Since getting traded to Detroit, Charlie Morton has racked up 16 Ks in 10.1 innings. The 41-year-old is prone to blowups (as evidenced by his 5.48 ERA), but he's still missing bats at a high rate with a 27.9% CSW and 9.43 K/9. Morton's assignment tonight is taking on the Twins, whose lineup is now missing Carlos Correa and Willi Castro.

The Twins do have capable lefties to combat Morton (and I would GPP stack them), but Morton is a solid SP2 for his price tag. Minnesota ranks in the bottom 10 in wOBA against RHP over the past 10 games, and has the seventh-lowest batting average against RHP on the season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ketel Marte, 2B - ARI ($6,400 DK/$4,600 FD)

The Diamondbacks' offense will once again be center stage as they take on another lousy pitcher in Colorado. Tanner Gordon has a career 5.35 FIP and 15% K rate, which will not play well in Coors against Arizona. The Snakes have an IRT of 6.9 runs, and they hung eight on the Rockies last night.

Ketel Marte is swinging a hot bat right now. He's 11-for-26 over his last six contests and has homered in two of his last three. Marte has a .390 wOBA and .249 ISO against RHP, and the switch-hitting second baseman will maintain the platoon edge when the game gets into the bullpen. The Rockies' pen is dead last in FIP and has allowed the highest ISO.

Corey Seager, SS - TEX ($4,700 DK/$3,100 FD)

The Rangers aren't necessarily a team to stack against Chris Bassitt and the Jays' pen tonight, but Corey Seager is an excellent one-off. The Rangers haven't been able to produce the offense they were hoping for this season, but Seager is rocking along with an .820 OPS. He has four multi-hit games in his last seven, and has swiped two bags as well.

Seager continues to be an excellent platoon player, with a .379 wOBA, .233 ISO, and 41.7% HHR against RHP. Bassitt has been more than capable for Toronto this season, but he still struggles with lefty power. He's given up a .362 wOBA and 1.60 HR/9 to southpaws, and has walked lefties at a 3% higher rate.

Warming Bernabel, 1B (DK), 3B (FD) - COL ($3,700 DK/$3,500 FD)

This is more of a DK-specific play, as the league has adjusted to Warming Bernabel lately. He hasn't had a multi-hit game since 8/2, which renders his FD price too expensive at $3,500. DK, however, has not adjusted for his slide, and $3,700 is too cheap for a player who has shown strong reverse-split power.

Bernabel has a .384 wOBA and .286 ISO against same-handed pitchers in his young career, and Brandon Pfaadt has struggled with power this year (1.42 HR/9, 13.8% HR/FB rate). The Rockies have a solid IRT of 5.1 runs, and Bernabel is a cheap way to get access. He's also a solid one-off in cash.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Carroll, OF - ARI ($6,600 DK/$4,700 FD)

Corbin Carroll is my top overall player of the night. He's found his power strike lately with four homers in his last eight games, and his OPS has climbed to a ripe .870. He costs more than Shohei Ohtani on DK, which is a rough sell, but everything points to Carroll being worth the price of admission against Gordon.

Carroll is once again flashing his dual-threat upside with 26 homers and 14 steals, and he's got a .352 wOBA and .259 ISO against RHP this season. Carroll has slid to the three-hole lately, which will give him ample RBI opportunities for an Arizona team with an IRT of 6.9 runs.

Brent Rooker, OF - ATH ($5,200 DK/$3,700 FD)

If you're looking for slightly cheaper, non-Arizona hitters that carry similar upside, look no further than Brent Rooker. The A's will begin another home series in Sutter Health Park, and the hot weather and Triple-A dimensions should play well for offense. Yusei Kikuchi is a solid pitcher, but the Athletics still carry an IRT of 4.9 runs.

Rooker's price has dropped on both sites over the last week, and now is a great time to take advantage. He's also been elite against lefty pitching with a .409 wOBA and .280 ISO, and his wRC in the platoon split is 43 points higher than the aforementioned Carroll.

Roman Anthony, OF - BOS ($4,600 DK/$3,000 FD)

Teams have to be happy they didn't pull the trigger on trading for Sandy Alcantara, as the Marlins' righty has continued to get lit up since the deadline. He's allowed 11 ER in his last 12 innings pitched, and he has a 6.55 ERA with a career-low 16.8% K rate. There's too much talent to give up on Alcantara, but it's not there for him right now.

Boston has an IRT of 5.1 runs tonight, and rookie sensation Roman Anthony has entrenched himself as the leadoff hitter for Boston. Anthony is doing awesome so far with an .840 OPS, and is barreling righty pitching at an elite rate with a 46.7% HHR. He's a fantastic cash play and a headliner in Boston stacks.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Arizona Diamondbacks vs Tanner Gordon

This is the obvious top stack, as Arizona overmatches the Rockies' pitching staff in Coors and has an IRT almost two runs higher than the next-highest squads. Almost all of their players are priced efficiently, though, so the challenge will be how you fit in the missing pieces. Rookie Tyler Locklear is one path, and you may have to take some shots on cheap pitching (maybe Alcantara can find his way?)

Favorite Combo: Perdomo, Marte, Carroll, Del Castillo

2. Boston Red Sox vs Sandy Alcantara

A change of scenery in the offseason (with a different pitching coach) might be the thing needed to fix Alcantara. For now, the Marlins' righty is ripe for the picking as far as stacking against goes. Boston has an IRT over five and has completely revamped their offensive scheme after trading away Rafael Devers.

Favorite Combo: Anthony, Bregman, Duran, Abreu

3. Colorado Rockies vs Brandon Pfaadt

As is usually the case, the Rockies are the "bridesmaid" to their opponent's "bride". Tonight is no different, but don't discount Colorado and their IRT of 5.1 runs. Brandon Pfaadt has a 5.03 ERA and 13.8% HR/FB rate this season, and his 18.7% K rate is by far a career low. The Rockies' hitters are not priced for Coors and carry more than enough upside.

Favorite Combo: Tovar, Goodman, Moniak, Bernabel
