Matt Breida is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: The Buffalo Bills signed former Dolphin Matt Breida this past offseason, supposedly to sit third in the running back depth chart behind both Zack Moss and Devin Singletary. And that was precisely what he was until he didn't even make that cut getting healthy-scratched for multiple games after appearing for 10 and 2 snaps in the first two games of the season. Good for him and his fantasy GMs--and those of you looking for off-the-WW help--Breida has finally grabbed hold of (at least) an RB2 role.
Breida went MIA (Missed in Action, mind you) from Week 3 to Week 9 only to reappear in Week 10 for Buffalo... and put on a delightful show. The outcome: 18 PPR points rushing the ball 3 times for 28 yards and a touchdown, and 22 receiving yards and another TD on just 3-for-3 receptions. That was going to be hard to sustain because Breida only played 8 (!!!) snaps back then... or was it? By the looks of it, it seems like Breida can produce even on that midget-size snap share.
In Week 11 and Week 12 Breida logged a similar 32% snap share yet he was able to reach 7.7 and 13.5 PPR points catching at least one pass in each of those two games and rushing the rock a combined 14 times for a total of 77 rushing yards. His receiving yardage went up to a combined 45 yards, and he's coming off scoring his second receiving TD last Thanksgiving Thursday. It's now Zack Moss being the healthy scratch in Buffalo, so take advantage while this lasts and grab as many shares as you can in any sort of 12+ team league. Breida is well worth an add and pretty much a lock to start ROS for those in deeper formats.
