BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 41% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: At this point through the season, with just two fantasy weeks to cross the finish line, you know how it goes with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and his upside. MVS is part of an offense in which he's been getting as many as a season-high 10 targets (Week 11) and as few as a season-low 2 targets (back-to-back W9-W10). MVS' fantasy scores have ranged from zero PPR points to a fantastic 22.3, and that is with him always playing 34+ snaps and logging 54%+ snap shares.
It'd make very much sense to nickname Marquez "Bouncy" Valdes-Scantling, is what I'm saying. He seemingly has a nice game followed by a couple of stinkers, as that's what he's done all season long. He's coming off an explosion, which maybe gives you pause, but we gotta trust the process and believe he'll repeat that type of outing at least once through the next two weeks of play to help your squad in the run toward the fantasy chip.
MVS had his second-best game of the season this past weekend when he reached 20.8 PPR points for a WR1 finish thanks to a 7-5-98-1 receiving line in a match in which he scored his third TD of the year. It'd be not realistic to think about MVS as a real WR1 ROS, but he's the definition of a boom/bust player with upside for such finishes but also a ground-level/dud floor that can pop up any time. Thus, target MVS only if you are part of a really deep league, or if you're very needy at the WR position for whatever reason.
