Leonard Fournette is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Don't Add
ROSTERED IN: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Free Agent running back Leonard Fournette was reportedly being worked out by the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he's unlikely to make a return to the NFL soon, as the team decided to sign RB Gary Brightwell instead. Brightwell was cut from the Cleveland Browns practice squad recently.
Source: The #Bengals are bolstering their RB room, agreeing to a deal with former #Giants RB Gary Brightwell. He will start on the practice squad, I’m told.

There hasn't been any reason to roster Fournette in years, and his path to become a fantasy relevant running back again is incredibly narrow. It's essentially impossible at this point. He is not someone that current NFL teams view as a back who can help them win games in any way.
It's telling that he isn't even on a practice squad. His career is likely over. He had just 12 rushing attempts in two games played in 2023, and couldn't beat out RB Latavius Murry for the Buffalo Bills backup job. Murray is also a free agent. Fournette is done with pro football for fantasy purposes.
