Latavius Murray is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 5 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Someone asked me yesterday if he should start Ty'Son Willimas in advance of Sunday's slate of games. My answer: no way in hell, Jose. It's obviously advantageous of me to include that silly development here as we now know Williams was a healthy scratch yesterday, but with Le'Veon Bell arriving in Baltimore and Latavius Murray around, I just had the feeling it was going to be a hard day for Williams to rack up points--and it wasn't just that, but he didn't even make it to the field of play. Uh, oh.
It's not that we are going to discover anything new in Latavius. Vulture Murray is what he is, and his numbers this season tell you about that just four weeks into the 2021 campaign: four games played, 44 carries, 151 yards, and three touchdowns. LOL. Oh, and I forgot to mention Latavius has all of zero targets through those four games. Insane in the brain, for sure, but as productive as he's ever been.
Murray is nearing the 50% rostership in Yahoo, so this is probably the last time to get some shares of the RB1 of the Ravens. Murray won't be very useful in PPR leagues because of his absolute lack of receiving prowess, but he's a lock to keep piling up chances to score while putting up his good 3.5 YPC. Watch out for Bell's addition and his potential role in the offense going forward, though. Murray's 59-yard, 18-carry, 1-TD line from Sunday isn't anything we shouldn't expect him to repeat in upcoming matchups (he's scoring almost a TD per game, too), so he should be rostered in every league and started as the RB3/FLEX in most of them, let alone deeper formats.
