ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey isn't available in many leagues, but he should probably be available in none. He's a polished route runner and the clear top option for quarterback Justin Herbert, who is still elite. The run-heavy scheme is the only thing holding him back.

He's not sneaky athletic; he's just extremely fast. He also has a natural feel for space and great quickness. The only knock on him is his size, and there are legitimate injury concerns, considering he never played a full season in college, but at the price of free from waivers, he's absolutely worth it. He's the Chargers' No. 1 target.

In games where Los Angeles is forced to pass the ball more, he has much more upside. Better days are ahead for him.

Productive running backs in fantasy football are a dime a dozen, and all those that have starting jobs are drafted in fantasy drafts. For the most part, their direct backups are too. The Houston Texans got blasted in Week 7 by the Seattle Seahawks. Their passing offense has struggled massively this year, with quarterback C.J. Stroud playing poorly. Injuries at every position in fantasy football are major drivers of production for the players that remain healthy. This is especially true for running backs -- they can often go from scoring zero points to immediately start-worthy. New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller (knee) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (foot) are both […]
