With the departures of Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs this offseason, the Buffalo Bills vacated over 241 targets to their wide receivers. Heading into the season, it was unclear who would emerge as Josh Allen’s new favorite target, but through two weeks, Khalil Shakir has stepped up.
Shakir has delivered back-to-back double-digit fantasy outings in PPR leagues. In Week 1, he recorded three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown, followed by five catches for 54 yards in Week 2. He’s averaging 11.9 fantasy points per game, positioning him as a solid WR3 or Flex option.

Shakir has secured a key role as the team’s slot receiver, and offensive coordinator Joe Brady has utilized his versatility in various ways. Shakir has been featured frequently in the RPO/screen game—his Week 1 touchdown against the Cardinals came off a screen pass in the red zone—and has also been involved in the downfield passing attack, particularly working the middle of the field.
In Week 3, the Bills face a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who just allowed eight targets to Browns' slot receiver Elijah Moore in Week 2. With the Bills clearly committed to getting Shakir involved, he is a must-add in all fantasy football leagues for Week 3.

Every fantasy manager on the planet absolutely loves the tight end position. Well, not really. It would be nice if teams would throw to their tight ends more, but that might not happen any time soon. The tight end position is often one of misery for fantasy managers.
