BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ PPR Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Two major things changed this week for the Atlanta Falcons offense. One is that the team started Taylor Heinicke at quarterback instead of second-year passer Desmond Ridder. Heinicke, in his first start of 2023, threw for 268 yards and a touchdown in a close loss to the Vikings.
The other change was that Drake London missed the game with a groin injury, opening up room for other receivers to make an impact. Before the game, the expectation seemed to be that it'd either be Van Jefferson or Mack Hollins who saw an increase in workload, but it ended up being KhaDarel Hodge.
The sixth-year receiver followed up what looked, at the time, like a fluky three-catch, 75-yard Week 8 performance with another strong game, catching three of his six targets for 60 yards in the Week 9 loss to Minnesota.
London might be back by Week 10, but KhaDarel Hodge seems to have given himself a leg up on the WR2 role in Atlanta. With Ridder under center, I'm not sure that role really mattered, but Heinicke presents a little more upside in the passing game. Hodge could carve out some deep-league value going forward, and he'd be worth flex consideration in Week 10 if London ends up being held out again.
