Kenneth Walker III - 2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook

Kenneth Walker III - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III's fantasy football value in dynasty leagues heading into 2025. Dave Ventresca evaluates Walker and ranks him among dynasty RBs.

At times, the dynasty fantasy football marketplace can feel like the Wild West. Player values move up and down based on any significant (or insignificant) transactions, news items, or social media posts.

With that said, we must always think about how certain players should be valued. What’s a player’s current value? Are they overvalued or undervalued by the dynasty community? Should you be looking to buy or throw them out the door? That’s what we’re aiming to do with our Dynasty Price Check series.

Make sure you’re following RotoBaller on X and check out RotoBaller.com for all your fantasy football needs. Today, we will examine Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III’s dynasty value as well as what to expect from him in 2025.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Kenneth Walker III Background

Walker was selected 41st overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in his rookie season but has failed to hit that mark in each of the last two years.

Walker has finished as the PPR RB18, RB19, and RB27 since joining the Seahawks. 2024 was particularly disappointing for the former Michigan State Spartan as he missed six games due to various injuries. Walker only ran for 573 yards in 11 games and averaged just 3.75 yards per carry.

Despite the disappointing season, Walker did see a career-high in receptions and scored eight total touchdowns. He has struggled with consistency since entering the league, but has scored 26 touchdowns in three seasons and is a threat to find the end zone anytime he touches the ball.

Kenneth Walker III Analytical Profile

While his final stats won’t blow you away, there are still many reasons to be excited about Walker’s future. His advanced metrics are one of them. Let’s take a look at where Walker ranks in several running back metrics since entering the league in 2022 (data courtesy of PFF and Fantasy Points Data Suite).

2024 (Among 46 backs with 100+ carries)

Fifth in PFF rushing grade
Third in PFF elusive rating
Ninth in missed tackles forced (MTF)
First in missed tackles forced per attempt (MTF/ATT)
30th in yards after contact (YACO)
10th in yards after contact per attempt (YACO/ATT)

2023 (Among 50 backs with 100+ carries)

Eighth in PFF rushing grade
Sixth in PFF elusive rating
First in MTF
Third in MTF/ATT
15th in YACO
21st in YACO/ATT

2022 (Among 45 backs with 100+ carries)

11th in PFF rushing grade
14th in PFF elusive rating
11th MTF
Eighth in MTF/ATT
23rd in YACO
38th in YACO

Strong showings in the above metrics suggest the running back is capable of elite fantasy football production. It’s worth pointing out, though, that running back metrics are not very sticky. There’s a lot of variation from year to year. However, Walker has consistently graded well in the majority of the above metrics every year since entering the league. This suggests he is much better than his raw stats indicate.

Part of the issue for Walker is that Seattle’s offensive line play has not been great. Running back stats can be skewed by a poor offensive line, and they can explode when surrounded by a good offensive line. Look no further than Saquon Barkley this past season for proof of that statement.

Walker has posted strong metrics despite playing behind a subpar offensive line. If Seattle can sufficiently address this unit in the offseason, then we could finally see Walker hit his ceiling in 2025.

What is Kenneth Walker III Worth in Fantasy Football Dynasty Leagues?

Walker is currently ranked as the RB13 in RotoBaller’s up-to-date dynasty rankings. This feels a little low given his upside but is justifiable based on his production. With a strong 2025 season, Walker could further climb these rankings. However, the incoming rookie running back class is loaded with talent, and he may not rise much higher than his current position.

KeepTradeCut (KTC), which crowdsources data from dynasty players to create rankings, has Walker listed as the RB12. This is down quite a bit from his peak value. Walker was ranked as high as the dynasty RB5 back in October 2024. Falling to his current position does feel like a bit of an overreaction to his poor 2024 season.

KTC estimates his trade value is equivalent to a mid-2025 first-round rookie pick in single-quarterback leagues and a late 2025 first-round pick in Superflex leagues.

This price does feel a bit steep considering the production he’s had to date. It may not be wise to spend this kind of capital on Walker given the amount of running backs who could be available in this range of rookie drafts. However, if you can find a manager who has soured on him after a disappointing year, he is absolutely a player worth buying low.

Maybe you could pair an early 2025 second-round pick with a player or a few more future picks to acquire him. An early 2025 second might be appealing to the Walker owner if there is a running back they prefer available to them at that point of the draft. That might mean it’s better to wait until your league is drafting before attempting to trade for the fourth-year back.

Kenneth Walker III 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

Walker has posted strong advanced metrics every year of his career since entering the league. He has breakaway speed and is a threat to make a house call every time he touches the ball. We even saw him more involved as a receiver in 2024. Walker checks many of the boxes we want to see from a potential fantasy superstar.

He also gets a new offensive coordinator this year. Klint Kubiak will take over as the Seahawks play-caller. He is already on record saying they will put a lot on Walker’s plate and are expecting big things from him. Kubiak runs an outside zone blocking scheme, and we have seen many teams (and running backs) have great success when utilizing this rushing scheme. Putting a player as talented as Walker in a proven scheme feels like a recipe for success.

Walker is a great RB2 target in the early rounds of fantasy football drafts. He can easily finish as an RB1 and outperform his current Underdog ADP of 57.7 overall. With a better scheme and better offensive line play, Walker could be in store for a breakout 2025 season.

Dynasty gamers would be wise to target him in trades and startup drafts. Redraft managers should do the same. He is very affordable in drafts this year and is set up for a career season. If he hits, Walker has the kind of upside that can propel you to a fantasy football title. Make sure you don’t miss out.
