ANALYSIS: A week after being held in check by wintry weather conditions in a Week 16 matchup against Cleveland, New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson popped up once again in the team's Week 17 upset of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Johnson was a key contributor to New Orleans' surprising victory over the Eagles. He reeled in five of seven targets for 62 yards in the 20-10 win over Philly.
His third season as a pro has by far been his best, as Johnson has posted career highs in receptions (41), receiving yards (487), and TDs (seven) in 2022.
The 26-year-old rather surprisingly stands as the overall fantasy TE7 in standard-scoring leagues which speaks to the overall weakness of the position this year and he has been a consistent fantasy producer over the back half of the 2022 season.
Fantasy managers that are still battling it out in Week 18 should give Johnson serious consideration in the regular-season finale against the Carolina Panthers. He's proven himself to be a rock-solid option at the always-tough TE position.
