Julius Chestnut is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues (If Pollard Can't Play)
ROSTERED IN: 4% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut could be set for a larger role in the offense if his team's RB1, Tony Pollard (foot), isn't able to go. Tyjae Spears (hamstring), Pollard's usual backup, is already designated as "OUT" for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
#Titanup RB Tony Pollard missed practice all week with a foot injury. Tyjae Spears has been ruled out🚫🙅🏿.

There's virtually no NFL game film on Chestnut since he's had just 11 carries for 49 yards in his career, most of them coming in garbage time during a blowout loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 8. He's an insurance option for fantasy managers who don't have anyone to replace Pollard with in case he can't go.
He has little standalone value, and if TP plays, he should resume his workhorse role since Spears can't make it, so Chestnut can be safely dropped if the starter is active. The Patriots have a poor defense vs running backs, so there's a chance he could hit double-digit points in the lead role.

We're through 11 weeks of NFL action in 2025, and the running back position remains one where it's difficult to find value.
