Jordan Whittington is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington was a preseason darling. The former Texas star drew comparisons to his current teammate Puka Nacua. However, the rookie receiver had no fantasy impact over the first few weeks despite Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) missing time with injuries.
Yet, Whittington has stepped up once given the chance. He had an 84% or better route participation rate in the past two games, totaling 13 receptions on 18 targets for 151 receiving yards and 21.6 half-point PPR fantasy points. The rookie receiver scored 9.2 or more fantasy points in both contests.
While many hope Kupp can return to the lineup this week against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he didn’t practice on Monday following the team’s Week 6 bye.
Cooper Kupp will not practice today, per Sean McVay, but will have a high-workload session with Reggie Scott and his reaction to that will determine whether he is available for the rest of the week, then the game. Rams also heading into a short week with both games on turf.

Whittington is a solid waiver wire pickup this week. The rookie receiver has flex appeal until Kupp and Nacua are back in the lineup.
