Jayden Reed start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football lineup picks for Wild Card Weekend. Should you start or sit Jayden Reed in playoffs fantasy football lineups (2023)?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed had low expectations entering the season. Many thought the Packers’ passing attack would suffer without Aaron Rodgers. Instead, the rookie wide receiver was a fantasy star.
Reed was the WR23 during the regular season, averaging 11.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He was a focal point for the team’s offense, especially with Christian Watson struggling to stay healthy. The rookie had 64 receptions, with 32 resulting in a first down. He also had over 912 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns, ranking second among rookies.
More importantly, Reed was massive during the fantasy football playoffs. He missed the Week 16 contest with an injury but averaged 19.1 fantasy points per game in the other two contests, scoring 14 or more in both. Last week, the Packers secured a playoff spot with a win over the Chicago Bears. Green Bay will face the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs.
The Cowboys surrendered 25.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers during the regular season, the sixth-fewest in the NFL. Despite the less-than-ideal matchup, Reed is a borderline must-start wide receiver and an appealing DFS option. He has been on fire lately, and his connection with Jordan Love has been outstanding lately.
