BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 23% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder logged a season-high 52 snaps in the team's Week 7 loss to the New England Patriots. He led all Jets receivers with an 80% snap share in the game, finishing just ahead of Corey Davis, who logged 47 snaps (72%). It was the first time this year that Crowder had led all Jets receivers in snaps. The fact that the game came after the team's Week 6 bye suggests that the Week 7 snap breakdown could be a sign of things to come.
Crowder missed the first three weeks of the season due to a groin injury. Since then, he has routinely been active in the passing game. Over three games this year, he's been targeted 21 times and he's caught 15 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. Davis may continue to be the true WR1 in the offense as he'll line up outside more often than Crowder, who is known for his slot receiving prowess. However, Crowder has a chance to be the team's top fantasy receiver going forward, especially in PPR formats.
With rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) expected to miss about two-to-four weeks, the Jets will likely have Mike White or Joe Flacco under center in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. There might be some short-term headaches for anyone who rosters Crowder, but there's no reason to think that he won't be a solid flex or WR3 option in PPR leagues during the stretch run this year. He's worth adding and rostering in all PPR leagues of 14 teams or deeper.
