Jalen McMillan is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan was targeted seven times in Week 8, catching four passes for 35 yards, and added one carry for 17 yards on the ground. Despite the relatively pedestrian stat line, there were a few big missed opportunities for him throughout the game.
Huge rookie mistake by Jalen McMillan, who would have walked in for a huge TD if he turns around on this earlier. pic.twitter.com/n0pEUBtZ9Z

It's starting to look like the three receivers drafted from the Washington Huskies aren't what they were billed to be. All three have disappointed this season, and the rookie mistakes by McMillan prevented him from separating himself from the other two. Not all the news is bad, though.
The Buccaneers have a great offense and play in the NFC South, a division that doesn't seem to be interested in playing defense this season. They're all in the bottom-half of the league at stopping opposing offenses from scoring. McMillan should see more opportunities to produce and several soft matchups.
The return of Mike Evans (hamstring) will hurt his fantasy value, though, because Sterling Shepard (hamstring) was the WR taking over the Chris Godwin slot role. Shepard dealt with an injury and returned to the game but was likely restricted.
